International internet down? Install Map Helper before playing.
Have a map on your computer that the server is missing? Map Helper sends only that map data to recover your play’s PP.
You must still be able to connect to osuir. Recovery runs after the server accepts your play; immediate PP on the first results screen is not guaranteed.
1. Download for your computer
Downloads are hosted on our server. No Python or extra runtime installer is needed. The Windows build is unsigned.
The previous Windows version was player-tested. Automatic startup in this update still needs a native Windows retest.
SHA2562. Create your connection token
Sign in, open Settings, and click Connect Map Helper. Copy the private token. It only allows map recovery for your own plays.

Windows: double-click the downloaded file. A text window opens. Paste your connection token and press Enter. The token stays hidden while you enter it.
Linux: run these two commands in Terminal. No sudo is needed.

~/Downloads/osuir-map-helper-linux-x64Confirm your game folder: the folder containing Songs for Stable, or files for Lazer. Copy its path from your file manager’s address bar if asked. The first library check can take a few minutes.
4. Close the window and play
After setup, the helper runs silently and starts automatically when you sign in. Only map data is sent. You can close the setup window. Run stop to pause it, status to check the connection, setup to renew an expired token, or logout to disconnect and disable startup. Tokens last 30 days. You must still be able to reach osuir during an outage.
What if it does not work?
First check that osuir opens. For an expired token, create a new one in Settings and run setup. For a missing map, check your selected folder and let indexing finish. You need the exact map revision used for your play.
To remove access, disconnect the helper in Settings. PP is always calculated on the server; your computer cannot choose the result.
